The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling, pet grooming, and customer service. This role involves providing professional grooming services to a variety of pets, primarily dogs, ensuring they look and feel their best while maintaining the highest standards of animal safety and comfort. Experience with dog training, and animal restraint is highly valued. The Pet Groomer will play a vital role in enhancing pet well-being and client satisfaction through compassionate care and expert grooming techniques. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing for dogs and other small animals Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assist with pet care routines such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and recommendations Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area in compliance with health and safety standards Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is preferred Knowledge of dog training, veterinary technician experience, or veterinary assistant background is a plus Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint techniques Experience working with animals such as dogs, cats. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners; patient and attentive demeanor Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an opportunity to work in a caring environment dedicated to animal health and happiness.
