This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while developing valuable skills in pet handling, training, and customer service. Responsibilities Provide expert dog training and behavioral guidance to pets of all ages and temperaments Handle animals safely during grooming, veterinary visits, or daily care routines Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint, feeding, and medication administration Support pet sitting services by caring for animals in their owners' absence Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing kennel cleaning and sanitation tasks Engage with pet owners professionally, offering advice on pet care and answering questions Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist in animal transport Qualifications Prior experience in dog training or handling is highly preferred Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous Strong animal handling skills across various species, including dogs and horses Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal restraint procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking Passion for animal care with a commitment to providing compassionate service Join us in creating a joyful environment where pets thrive!
