Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician and Doggie Daycare Attendant to join our animal care team. This role involves providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in our kennel and daycare facilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain dogs of various sizes and temperaments during daily activities and procedures Monitor dogs' behavior, health, and safety throughout their stay or daycare visit Assist with feeding, administering medications, and providing basic grooming as needed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to promote a hygienic environment Observe for signs of illness or distress and report concerns promptly to veterinary staff or management Support dog training exercises and reinforce positive behaviors during interactions Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and progress Assist with pet sitting duties, including walking, playing, and providing companionship Lift heavy objects such as kennels, supplies, or equipment safely to ensure operational efficiency Requirements Prior experience in kennel work, pet grooming, veterinary assisting, or animal handling preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is advantageous Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals humanely and safely Familiarity with pet care routines including feeding, medication administration, and grooming Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks Basic understanding of animal behavior, health indicators, and safety protocols Reliable work ethic with attention to detail and a compassionate attitude towards animals If you are passionate about animal welfare and eager to contribute to a caring environment for pets and their owners, we encourage you to apply today.
