We are a high volume salon looking for the ideal candidate that will have a LOVE for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for the grooming and care of pets, ensuring they look their best while also prioritizing their comfort and well-being. This role requires strong animal handling skills and the ability to work effectively with both pets and coworkers. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including thorough bathing, drying, de-matting, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs including fluffy haircuts. This position is primarily for experienced DOG groomers. While CAT grooming is not required, it is considered a valuable asset. Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during grooming sessions. Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment to ensure a safe environment for pets. Handle animals with care, using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to the manager. Experience Candidates possess the following skills and experience: Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or pet handling. Strong dog handling skills with knowledge of various breeds and their specific grooming needs. Experience in animal care, including but not limited to kennel work, pet sitting, or equine experience. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor towards both pets and their owners. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming procedures.
