Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care, maintaining cleanliness in the kennel area, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising dogs and other pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, exercise areas, and equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed. Perform basic grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming. Handle dogs of various sizes with confidence and ensure their safety during interactions. Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and communicate effectively with team members. Requirements Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of pet care practices, including feeding, grooming, and handling techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds). Familiarity with animal restraint techniques for safe handling during grooming or veterinary visits. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A background as a Veterinary Technician or in veterinary services is a plus. Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing high-quality care to all pets in the facility. MUST be 18 years old.
