Dog Vacation Home Attendant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Dog Vacation Home Attendant to our new location in Rome, GA , join our team in providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in our dog vacation facility. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animals, experienced in pet handling, and committed to ensuring a safe, fun, and healthy environment for all our canine guests. This role involves engaging with dogs of various sizes and temperaments, assisting with their daily activities, and maintaining a clean and organized facility. Responsibilities Supervise and monitor dogs during playtime to ensure safety and appropriate behavior Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques Provide basic pet grooming and hygiene care as needed Administer pet care routines including feeding, watering, and administering medication if required Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment Observe dogs for signs of distress or health issues and report concerns to management Engage dogs in enrichment activities to promote mental stimulation and physical exercise Assist with pet sitting services when needed, ensuring all animals are well cared for during their stay Skills Experience in dog handling or pet sitting preferred Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely manage dogs of various sizes and temperaments Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large or heavy dogs or equipment) Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and visitors Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and animal care best practices Compassionate attitude towards animals and attention to detail in their care Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism Join our team to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners through compassionate care and engaging activities.
