In this role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients. Your dedication to animal care and customer service will create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and client communication within a supportive environment committed to excellence. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being; communicate any concerns or health issues to clients or veterinary staff Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use Provide exceptional customer service by explaining grooming options, answering questions, and building rapport with pet owners Assist with pet handling during drop-off and pick-up processes, ensuring a smooth experience for clients Experience Prior hands on experience as a pet groomer is required; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus Strong work ethic, reliability and professional attitude is a must. Ability to work as a team and independently Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including restraint and safety protocols for dogs of all sizes and temperaments Knowledge of pet care practices such as bathing, brushing, trimming, and breed-specific grooming standards Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger dogs or equipment safely Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that promotes trust and satisfaction among clients Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming and compassionate care.
