Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for both pets and staff Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming procedures appropriately Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming needs, provide advice on pet care, and address any special requirements or concerns Assist with basic dog training exercises or behavioral assessments when needed to facilitate grooming sessions Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific styles and grooming techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable Skilled in animal handling, restraint, and pet care to ensure safe interactions with dogs of all temperaments Familiarity with veterinary technician or assistant experience, especially related to animal health monitoring during grooming Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Strong animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail Join us in creating a positive grooming experience that leaves every dog looking great and feeling loved!
