Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs safely and compassionately, utilizing animal handling techniques and restraint methods to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each pet's coat, skin condition, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming plans Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice Assist with pet care duties such as pet sitting or kennel duties when needed to support overall animal well-being Support veterinary staff by recognizing signs of health issues or discomfort that may require veterinary attention Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming. Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care best practices Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Previous experience working with animals in settings like kennels, veterinary clinics, or animal shelters is a plus Strong animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and attention to detail Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals makes a difference every day!
