Dog Daycare Attendant

Calling all current or past Dog Daycare Attendants! Want to learn more and earn more? If you're tired of the chaos of not knowing how to safely control your groups come work for a CPDT-KA certified trainer who would be happy to teach you how to safely manage off-leash group play. Shag Bark Pet Retreat & Spa has immediate openings for Pet Care Technicians to help take care of our Lodging and Dog Daycare guests. Duties include but are not limited to monitoring off-leash play groups, taking dogs on bathroom breaks, conducting play times and enrichment activities, scrubbing and sanitizing bunks, providing food and water, monitoring and recording health statistics, laundry detail, washing dishes, facility cleaning and disinfecting.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualified applicants will be highly self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in an independent, fast-paced, pet focused environment; will be comfortable handling small and large dogs; will have prior work experience; and be able to work efficiently from a check list of activities. This position requires your full attention. It is extremely detail oriented. The health, happiness and safety of our guests depend on your pet care knowledge, keen observation skills, and attention to detail. The hours of operation for the two shifts that we are currently staffing for are Monday

• Sunday between 6:30 am
• 11:00 am and 2:00 pm
• 6:00 pm.

The facility is staffed 365 days per year and is exceptionally busy when local schools are on holiday recess. The ideal candidate will have availability and be willing to work additional shifts during those times.
