Launch Team Hire | Opening June 22 | Starting at $17/hr+ | On-site What if I told you… …you could get paid to hang with dogs all day and be part of building something brand new in Chicago? Chicago Paws District is launching June 22 , and we're hiring Daycare Attendants to join our Launch Team . If you're a dog-lover with a great attitude, solid work ethic, and you don't mind getting a little dirty, keep reading! Okay, I'm listening… We have two full-time shifts available:
AM Shift:
6:00am - 2:15pm
PM Shift:
2:15pm - 10:30pm Starting pay: $17/hour+ (higher starting rates for those with experience) We're looking for people who show up, bring good energy, and genuinely care about the dogs and the team. Experience in a kennel/daycare/boarding environment is preferred , but if you're the right kind of person, we can train you up. Tell me more, human. This isn't just a job at an already-established place. This is a launch .
That means:
new team new facility new standards big momentum We're excited to introduce Chicago Paws District to the community, and we want staff who are proud to be part of it. What you'll do (aka: the real daycare life) Supervise dog playgroups safely and confidently Read dog body language and interrupt nonsense before it escalates Clean. A lot. (kennels, yards, bowls, floors - all of it) Feed and refresh water, follow care instructions, support boarding routines Move dogs safely (leash handling, transitions, crate/kennel rotations) Help maintain structure, calm, and safety in a busy environment Communicate clearly with teammates so the whole shift runs smooth Support basic enrichment and routine (not chaos daycare vibes) Who you are You're reliable. Like actually. You have a good attitude even when it's busy You're comfortable with all breeds and sizes You can take feedback without getting weird about it You can handle physical work (standing, walking, lifting, cleaning, noise) You care about doing things the right way, not the lazy way Preferred (but not required) Experience in a kennel/daycare/boarding facility Experience handling multiple dogs at once You've worked on a team in a fast-paced environment Non-negotiables Must be able to work on-site in Uptown Chicago Must be able to work either the AM or PM shift listed above Must be comfortable working weekends/holidays as needed during launch season Must love dogs and respect safety and structure The deal $17/hour starting Join the Launch Team for a brand new dog daycare & boarding facility Real opportunity to grow as the company grows (we're building something big) How to apply
