Dog Groomer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate pet groomer to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care, experienced in dog grooming, and committed to providing exceptional service to both pets and their owners. In this role, you will perform grooming services by appointment, help maintain a clean and safe work environment, and build lasting relationships with our established client base. Responsibilities Provide professional dog grooming services, including bathing, brushing, drying, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and finishing touches Handle pets with patience, care, and attention to their comfort and safety Follow client grooming instructions and breed-specific styling preferences Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming area at all times Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the salon Clean and sanitize tubs, cages, grooming tables, tools, dryers, and workstations Wash and dry towels, smocks, and other grooming linens Sweep, vacuum, and remove pet hair from all grooming and common areas Dispose of garbage and maintain supply cleanliness Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding services, coat condition, and pet needs Help maintain a welcoming and positive environment for clients and their pets Ensure all equipment is safely shut down and unplugged before leaving Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styles Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices Veterinary or veterinary technician experience is a plus for recognizing health issues during grooming Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with patience and confidence Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care routines Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners Heavy lifting capability for managing larger dogs or equipment safely Strong animal handling skills combined with a genuine love for pets and their well-being Join us in creating a joyful grooming experience that leaves every dog looking fabulous and feeling fantastic!

Pay:

$24.28 - $29.24 per hour
