The Dog Groomer will also interact with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and advice on pet care. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, brushing, and nail trimming for dogs of all breeds. Assess the condition of each dog's coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle dogs safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during the grooming process. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety standards. Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and grooming options. Provide advice on general pet care, including skin care, coat maintenance, and health concerns. Assist in managing appointments and maintaining records of services rendered. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive environment for both pets and staff. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming. Strong skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and animal care. Familiarity with various dog breeds and their specific grooming needs. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger dogs or equipment. Previous experience in kennel settings is a plus. Knowledge of dog training techniques is beneficial but not required. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
