Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet each pet's specific needs and owner preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure a stress-free grooming process Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming procedures accordingly Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting tools, tubs, and grooming stations regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners to discuss grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring animals are comfortable and calm throughout the process Support pet care activities such as pet sitting or kennel duties when needed to enhance overall animal well-being Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong knowledge of dog handling techniques Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care best practices Experience working with veterinary professionals or in veterinary technician or assistant roles is highly desirable Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience enhances your ability to handle diverse breeds and temperaments Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for bathing tubs or equipment setup Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and provide exceptional care guidance Strong animal handling skills combined with patience, compassion, and professionalism Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills make a difference!
