Kennel & Front Desk Associate About The Wag Spot The Wag Spot is excited to bring new ownership and a fresh vision to an established pet care business. While we are new to this location, our team has extensive experience in the pet care industry and successfully operates another pet care facility under a different name. Our mission is to provide exceptional care for every pet while creating a positive experience for clients and a supportive workplace for staff. We believe that quality care starts with a dedicated team, and we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, compassion, and customer service. Position Summary The Wag Spot is seeking a dependable, organized, and animal-loving Kennel & Front Desk Associate to support daily operations. This position combines customer service, administrative responsibilities, and hands-on pet care. The ideal candidate will help ensure exceptional care for boarding and grooming guests, maintain facility standards, and provide outstanding service to our clients. Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Customer Service Greet clients and pets in a friendly and professional manner. Answer phones and assist clients with questions, concerns, and requests. Schedule and manage boarding and grooming reservations. Maintain accurate client and pet records. Process check-ins, check-outs, and payments. Communicate clearly with clients regarding their pets' care and services. Build positive relationships with clients through exceptional customer service. Pet Care Responsibilities Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all pets in our care. Follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, potty breaks, and exercise routines. Supervise dog playgroups and monitor dog interactions for safety. Observe pets for signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concerns and report issues promptly. Maintain accurate medication and care records. Provide pets with attention, enrichment, and compassionate care throughout their stay. Facility Maintenance & Operations Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, grooming areas, and common spaces. Follow daily cleaning and sanitation procedures. Assist with facility organization and upkeep. Restock supplies and notify management when inventory is low. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pets, clients, and staff. Assist with laundry, dishes, and other operational tasks as needed. Qualifications Previous kennel, veterinary, pet daycare, animal care, or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Comfortable handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, professional, and team-oriented. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Job Type Full-time / Part-time Weekends and holidays required Flexible scheduling based on business needs This version removes all management duties such as supervising staff, scheduling employees, hiring, training, performance management, inventory ordering authority, and policy enforcement while maintaining the core kennel and front desk responsibilities.
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
