Job Description
The Hobart Animal Clinic is seeking a reliable, detail oriented, and caring pet groomer. Our ideal candidate would have previous grooming experience and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
About the open position:
- Part Time(25 hours) or Full time (40 hours per week)
- Hours are flexible. o Willing to work the occasional Saturday.
- Off on Sundays and all major holidays
- 1 year of experience preferred.
- Full benefits offered after probationary period Skills required for this position:
- Understanding of animal behavior
- Experience grooming cats
- Nail trimming and/or Dremel, ear cleaning/ear plucking, and anal gland expression
- Check-in of all incoming grooming patients
- Work closely with the grooming receptionists and boarding manager
- Grooming of 8-10 pets per day
- Be able to communicate with the clients about their animals grooming needs
- Be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Knowledge of sedation of animals while groomed (preferred but not required)
- Finish all grooming patients in a timely manner
- Keep up on filing system
- Be willing to assist in walk-in services, such as, nail trims
