Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and compassionately, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's health and behavior, alerting veterinary professionals or pet owners of any concerns or abnormalities Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a smooth flow of appointments Support pet care activities such as feeding, walking, or basic veterinary assistance when needed, demonstrating versatility in animal handling skills Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of dog breeds and coat types Familiarity with dog training techniques and animal handling best practices Previous veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable, especially related to animal care and restraint Strong understanding of pet grooming tools, pet sitting, kennel experience, and heavy lifting capabilities for handling larger dogs Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to customer service Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Passion for animals with a genuine desire to improve their well-being through grooming and care Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills make tails wag!
