Experienced Dog Groomer

Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and compassionately using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for both pet and groomer Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to determine appropriate grooming procedures Maintain a clean, organized grooming station with sanitized tools and equipment following health standards Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, or health concerns such as veterinary issues or allergies Assist with basic pet care tasks such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and skin treatments when necessary Support pet handling during appointments with patience and professionalism to foster a positive grooming experience Requirements Proven experience as a professional dog groomer with a strong portfolio of grooming styles and techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and animal handling skills to manage dogs of various temperaments safely Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable for understanding health-related concerns Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet grooming tools, and sanitation protocols Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and comfortably Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with pet owners and address their needs effectively Previous kennel or pet sitting experience is a plus for understanding comprehensive animal care routines Strong animal handling skills combined with patience, empathy, and attention to detail Join us in creating a joyful environment where pets feel loved and cared for!
