Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Associate to manage Dog Daycare and provide exceptional care for pets while they are in our care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for dogs, strong dog handling skills, and the ability to manage various pet care tasks. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy spending time with dogs and have experience in animal care. Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, walking, bathing, light grooming and cleaning. Ensure the safety and well-being of dogs during their stay. Maintain a clean and organized environment for the pets, which includes deep cleaning of kennels, play areas, outdoor areas, and hallways. Engage in playtime and exercise with dogs to promote physical health and mental stimulation. Monitor pet behavior and health with the ability to recognize and report concerns to management. Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing pets as required. Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners and management regarding routines, preferences, and services. Requirements Previous exerpience with animal care, preferrably in a Doggie Daycare, Boarding or Vet Clinic setting is required. Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage various breeds and temperaments. Knowledge of basic pet grooming techniques is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs or carrying supplies). Familiarity with kennel operations or dog training techniques is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and provide updates on their pets. A genuine passion for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
