Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing essential support in maintaining a safe and clean environment for our furry clients. This role involves working closely with animals, ensuring their well-being, and assisting with various tasks related to their care. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising them. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management staff. Assist with grooming tasks as needed, including bathing and brushing. Handle animals safely and effectively, employing proper restraint techniques when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and behaviors. Participate in training sessions for dog handling and behavior modification when necessary. Skills Strong knowledge of animal care practices and behavior. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Ability to handle dogs of various sizes safely and confidently. Capability to perform heavy lifting as required for animal handling and kennel maintenance. Familiarity with pet care practices is beneficial. Experience in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during handling is also beneficial.
