In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of dogs. This commission based W-2 position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for animals with a rewarding career in pet grooming. Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures Assess each dog's coat condition, skin health, and temperament to tailor grooming treatments accordingly Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and work areas after each appointment Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice Assist with basic dog training or behavioral guidance when appropriate to facilitate smooth grooming sessions Support other team members with animal handling, pet sitting, or kennel duties as needed Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with knowledge of breed-specific cuts and styles Strong dog handling skills combined with animal care expertise Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to lift or move large dogs safely Excellent customer service skills to build trust and rapport with pet owners Knowledge of animal handling techniques including animal restraint and pet care best practices Join us in creating a positive grooming experience that leaves pets happy and owners satisfied!
