Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, recommending appropriate grooming treatments or veterinary referrals when necessary Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and groomer safety during procedures Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area to uphold hygiene standards and prevent the spread of infections Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests, provide care advice, and address any special needs or concerns Assist with pet handling during check-in and check-out processes, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners Support other team members with pet care tasks such as pet sitting or kennel duties when needed Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care; veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly valued Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions Strong animal handling skills with the ability to work confidently with dogs of all sizes and temperaments Familiarity with veterinary practices or veterinary experience is a plus for assessing health conditions during grooming Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for bathing tubs or equipment setup Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is advantageous for understanding animal behavior and care needs Join us in creating a joyful environment where pets feel loved, cared for, and beautifully groomed!
