Overnight Pet Care Attendant

About Us We are a compassionate, pet-first boarding facility dedicated to providing exceptional overnight care for dogs and cats. Our team ensures pets are safe, comfortable, and well-monitored while their families are away. We are currently looking for a dependable, animal-loving overnight attendant to join our team. Position Summary As the Overnight Pet Care Attendant , you will be responsible for monitoring, cleaning, and ensuring the wellbeing of animals throughout the night. This role is ideal for someone who is highly reliable, calm under pressure, and comfortable working independently. Key Responsibilities Monitor all pets in the facility throughout the night for safety and comfort Perform overnight wellness checks and log activity Clean and sanitize kennels, litter boxes, feeding bowls, and facility areas Administer medications as directed (if applicable/trained) Handle any overnight incidents calmly and report them clearly Ensure fresh water is available and bedding is clean and dry Maintain security by performing regular walkthroughs and checking locks/gates Prepare the facility for the morning shift (light laundry, feeding prep, etc.) Assist in capturing content for social media (photos, videos, and updates) Requirements Prior experience with animal care preferred (boarding, shelter, vet clinic, etc.) Must be at least 18 years old Comfortable handling dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments Physically capable of cleaning, walking dogs, and standing for long periods Reliable transportation and punctuality a must Able to work weekends and holidays as needed Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Familiarity with social media (Instagram, Facebook) a plus Benefits Competitive pay (starting at $12/hr depending on experience) Relaxed, animal-centered environment Opportunity for growth within the facility or veterinary field Employee discounts on boarding or pet care services Team committed to animal welfare and compassion How to Apply Send your resume and a brief note about why you'd be a great fit to:gausepaws@gmail.com OR apply in person at 1400
