Candidate is responsible for supervising dogs of all sizes in an off-leash group play environment. The candidate must have proper dog handling skills and basic knowledge of dog behavior. He/She must be physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and maintain proper cleaning protocols. Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds comfortably, willing and able to work outside in all weather, able to spend 8-9 hours on their feet and work well independently and in a group environment. Candidate should also be detailed oriented, timely and organized. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising and maintaining a safe environment for all dogs; cleaning; feeding and watering of all pets; administering medications; record keeping; and taking pictures of pets. Boston Paws offers competitive pay and employer paid pet first aid and CPR certification. In regards to compensation, starting rates are listed below; however unlike most companies we offer your first review at three months with a potential raise. We promote from within the company, and compensation is based on work ethic and how much you contribute. Team players, who are willing to work any and all shifts, cover co-workers when needed, and who build a great rapport with our customers are noticed and appreciated. Boston Paws is family owned and operated. The owners are right along side you in the thick of it, so upper management gets a first hand view of how hard you are working. The Daycare Attendant represents Boston Paws to the public; therefore, it is of the utmost importance that he/she assures each customer of the best possible service and to be constantly courteous. In doing so, he/she must understand all policies, procedures, and service strategies, including knowledge of any special promotions offered. This position includes daily dog handling, therefore, candidates with professional experience in dog handling will be considered first for this position. The Daycare Attendant must also possess strong people and customer relation skills, be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and be a team player. Must be willing to work nights, holidays and weekends.
