Animal Care Technician

Our well established, busy, fun pet hotel wants to hire additional staff to join our team. We are currently seeking bright, energetic, individuals who work hard, pay close attention to detail and have a love of pets. Best Friends Pet Care in Boxford, MA currently has an Animal Care Technician role available. Best Friends Pet Care is the leader in pet boarding, grooming and daycare. We currently have over 80 locations nationwide and have been in business for more than thirty years. This position requires supervision and clean up after doggy playgroup, lots of on-your-feet exercise - walking pets, throwing balls, and scratching ears. Candidates must be able to lift 40 lbs., be on your feet 4-5 hours at a time, and have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays. General kennel experience is preferred, but will train promising candidate

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and maintenance of pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and kitchen Feeding and watering pet guests Monitoring and charting every pet guest Monitoring pet belonging Monitoring for any abnormalities Laundering duties Treating guests, co-workers and customers in a professional, courteous manner Work in a fast-paced environment Assisting other associates and performing other duties as needed

Requirements:

$17.50 - $18.00 per hour
