Overview Join our team as a Professional Pet Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise will shine! This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a lively environment focused on animal well-being and client satisfaction. Online grooming courses are not acceptable, only hands on experience. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, sterilizing tools and equipment regularly Assess pets for any health issues or skin conditions, communicating findings to pet owners or veterinary staff as needed Assist with pet handling techniques such as animal restraint to ensure safe grooming sessions Provide exceptional customer service by explaining grooming procedures and offering pet care advice to clients Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is required, with a strong understanding of breed-specific cuts and styles Knowledge of dog training techniques and dog handling skills to manage animals effectively during grooming sessions Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus, especially in recognizing health concerns during grooming Familiarity with animal handling, restraint techniques, and kennel procedures ensures safe interactions with pets of all temperaments Experience working with various animals including dogs and cats Customer service experience helps foster positive relationships with pet owners and enhances overall client satisfaction Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to handle larger animals or equipment safely Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference in animals' lives!
