Job Description

The K9Edge Front Desk Receptionist The K9Edge, the North Shore's PREMIER Daycare, Boarding and Training Center, is hiring a Front Desk Receptionist. You will be responsible for greeting customers, both human and non-human, updating the appointments calendar, handling various front desk tasks and ensuring laundry and bowls/buckets are getting done throughout the day. This position requires a hard-working, detail-oriented individual who is able to work both independently and as a member of our team. The position is part-time. Early and late shifts are 4, 6, and 8 hours in duration. Starting time is at 6am. Closing is at 8pm. Compensation is based on experience. This is not a seasonal/summer position. Experience One year of relevant experience in a similar environment a plus Experience handling leash walking dogs on leash a plus Experience using a point-of-sale system to ring customers out Experience using a scheduling system to book appointments a plus Responsibilities and Duties including but not limited to: Greet customers and leash walk dogs into the daycare area Check in/check out clients for daycare, boarding, training and baths Ring out customers. Book daycare, boarding, training and bath appointments. Update client records ensuring vaccinations and licensing are current Answer phones and emails. Keep up with laundry and dishes Take inventory, order and restock dog food and cleaning supplies Requirements Must be 18 years or older. Must be willing to work flexible schedule including evenings, some weekends and holidays when at capacity Experience using a point-of-sale system Experience using a scheduling system to book appointments a plus Experience handling dogs of all sizes, knowledge of dog breeds a plus Must have reliable transportation and live locally Must be dependable and reliable. If you are late for shifts, call out last-minute and/or frequently, and addicted to your phone, this job is not for you Additional Requirements Must love dogs Must be able to work with and communicate with others as a team Must like to clean Must have a sense of humor. Must tolerate stupid jokes Must like humans Must like to clean… a lot!
Pay:
$15.50 - $17.00 per hour
