Partner Pet Groomer Opportunity Location:

Baltimore Bark Social is seeking an experienced, reputable, and customer-focused Pet Groomer to partner with us and offer grooming services on select days at each of our locations. This is a unique opportunity for an established groomer or grooming company to expand their clientele, leverage our high-traffic dog-friendly social club environment, and operate within a fun, community-driven space. Position Overview We are looking to partner with a skilled Pet Groomer to provide high-quality grooming services—such as baths, nail trims, sanitary trims, full grooms, and deshedding treatments—to our members and guests. This is an independent contractor partnership where the groomer operates on-site during predetermined days at Bark Social's locations. This role is ideal for groomers with strong technical abilities, excellent customer interaction skills, and a commitment to animal safety and wellbeing. Location Bark Social Baltimore Services may rotate between locations based on demand and scheduling. Responsibilities Grooming & Animal Care Perform full-service grooming, including haircuts, baths, blowouts, brushing, de-shedding, ear cleaning, nail trimming, sanitary trims, and additional specialty services. Assess each dog's coat, condition, temperament, and grooming needs. Ensure all grooming practices meet safety, hygiene, and industry standards. Maintain a clean, organized grooming station before, during, and after each appointment. Customer Interaction Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and transparent communication with pet parents. Offer professional recommendations on coat health, maintenance, and grooming frequency. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and client follow-up. Operations & Partnership Expectations Arrive prepared with grooming equipment, tools, and supplies (Bark Social provides space, power, and site support). Maintain necessary licenses, insurance, and grooming certifications. Handle payments and service pricing (or coordinate pricing structures with Bark Social). Represent Bark Social in a positive, professional manner while on-site. Requirements 3+ years of professional grooming experience in a salon, mobile grooming, or similar setting. Demonstrated expertise in breed-specific cuts and coat handling. Ability to safely handle dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. Must provide proof of liability insurance and up-to-date grooming certifications/licenses as required by state/local laws. Strong customer service skills and professionalism. Reliable, punctual, and highly organized. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dog-centric environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience partnering with pet businesses (daycares, vets, mobile grooming, etc.) Fear-Free Grooming Certification or similar. Ability to provide additional specialty services (teeth brushing, de-matting, enrichment baths, etc.) Existing clientele base a plus. Schedule & Compensation Select days weekly & one off groomings (flexible scheduling coordinated with Bark Social). Contractor partnership model.
