Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dog Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care and comfort to our furry clients! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and loving environment for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure each pet receives the highest quality care, whether they are staying with us temporarily or visiting for grooming or training sessions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while supporting pet owners and fostering a positive experience for every guest. Duties Provide daily care for dogs and cats, including feeding, watering, and administering medication as needed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to promote health and hygiene Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress, illness, or injury, and report concerns promptly Assist with dog handling during walks, playtime, grooming, and training activities Restrain animals safely using proper techniques during veterinary procedures or grooming sessions Handle heavy lifting when moving kennels, supplies, or large animals to ensure safety for both pets and staff Skills Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly valued Skilled in animal handling and restraint to ensure safety during interactions and procedures Knowledge of pet grooming practices to assist with bathing, brushing, and coat maintenance Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique Familiarity with animal care standards, including feeding schedules, medication administration, and hygiene protocols Join us in creating a caring environment where pets feel safe and loved!
