Job Description

Currently hiring part time, 15-20 hours per week. Hours will increase to full time at the end of summer. Job Overview Do you enjoy the company of dogs? Are you a hard worker? Are you responsible and want rewarding employment? White Willow Retreat for Dogs is a Dog Daycare and Boarding Facility in Belgrade, Maine.
Job Responsibilities include:
Supervising and managing dogs to ensure a safe and enriching environment. Control level of play and intervene when necessary with appropriate management tools. Providing our dogs with a clean and sterile environment both indoors and out. Cleaning, disinfecting, and laundering daily to maintain a high level of biosecurity. Preparing meals and administering medication as needed. Greeting clients and providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of dog behavior and some familiarity with dog training. (Training will be provided.) Ability to lift 50 lbs and have the physical stamina to interact with active dogs for the length of your shift. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Maintain consistent time and attendance standards. Working with dogs in a group environment means every day is different. While we follow established policies, procedures, and safety practices, our team must remain flexible and adaptable. The needs of the dogs, group dynamics, weather, and daily routines can change quickly, so the right candidate will be comfortable adjusting on the fly, thinking proactively, and supporting the team to ensure a safe, calm, and positive environment for all dogs in our care.
