Dog Daycare Attendant

Job Summary:

We have both Full and Part-time positions available. This is a tipped position with a base rate + Tips for every hour worked. The base rate is flexible if the candidate has the experience and can exceed the posted range of $13 to $15 Staff are paid every Friday for the previous Sunday through Saturday. We pay 100% of tips back to the staff weekly on top of the hourly rate. The average tip on each hour worked is an additional $2 to $3. Staff also get Free Daycare and Boarding for their dog or cat. (Dogs must pass temperament evaluation and be current on all required vaccinations). They also receive access to our 24/7 Virtual Vet services

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor dogs in the daycare facility to ensure their safety and well-being
• Engage in playtime activities with the dogs, including interactive games and exercise
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces
• Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to keep the pack in order
• Maintain accurate records of each dog's activities, behavior, and any special instructions from pet owners

Skills:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills or be willing to learn them:

• Animal handling experience, preferably in a professional setting such as a veterinary clinic or animal shelter
• Knowledge of animal care practices and procedures or desire to learn
• Customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with coworkers
• Knowledge of basic grooming techniques is a plus
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed
