Job Description

Love to play with dogs and cats? This is a morning position, and times range from 7 am to 2 pm daily. We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Kennel Tech to join our team. As a Kennel Tech, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to pets while their owners are away. This is an opportunity to work with a variety of animals and make a positive impact on their well-being. Both Full-time and Part-time positions are open for this role. Pay
  • Position has a base rate pay ($12.
50 to $14.00) + paid tips for every hour you work each week. The average tips per hour range from $1.50 during non-peak times to $3+ during peak times. Base pay is negotiable and can be more than the range posted if the candidate has the needed skills Employees are paid weekly on Friday for the previous Sun-Sat, so each week you are paid your hourly rate pay plus your tip pay. All employees are vital to a caring and safe experience for the animals, so we pay tips weekly to all staff. We divide the total tips out between all staff based on hours worked. Employees are evaluated at 90 days and, based on performance, will receive a merit bump to their base rate and are eligible for advancement based on their performance Benefits
  • All staff are provided access to our free virtual Veterinary care All staff receive free daycare/boarding as a benefit of employment for their cats and dogs
Responsibilities:
  • Help with dog let out and potty breaks
  • Cleaning and disinfecting of kennels and contents daily
  • Do care sessions with boarding dogs ( belly rubs, individual play, etc)
  • Complete bathing requests
  • Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the facility manager
  • Document feedings and care notes in the operating system (Gingr)
  • Provide basic grooming services such as brushing and bathing
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for pets at all times
  • Assist with laundry and basic cleaning services for the facility
Qualifications:
What you do not know, we will teach you.
  • Previous experience in animal handling, such as working at a veterinary clinic, kennel, or pet care facility, is good but not required
  • Knowledge of dog handling techniques and basic dog training principles
  • Ability to restrain animals safely when necessary
  • Understanding of proper animal care practices, including nutrition, exercise, and hygiene.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with leadership and provide updates on their pets' well-being
  • Reliable and responsible with a genuine love for animals
