Dog Groomer

We are in need of a part time pet groomer. The ideal applicant is a recent graduate of a reputable grooming school (no online schooling accepted) or has apprenticed at a reputable salon, but still needs some guidance or mentoring. This would be perfect for someone who does not yet feel confident to go out on their own and would still like someone to check over their dogs and teach them finishing touches. You will be able to groom under supervision and learn finishing work. Please do not apply if you do not have the required schooling. You must be dependable, trustworthy and a hard worker. You must be a team player. We all help each other out here. There are no "my dogs" and "your dogs". We team up on large dogs. You must be able to pass a drug test. If you call in sick, can't be on time, or have transportation issues, this is not the job for you. You must be a gentle, patient groomer. We do not force dogs through a grooming. We do many senior and anxious dogs and our groomers know how to gently handle these dogs without force or roughness. We do not tolerate rough groomers. We do not work weekends but do start as early as 7 am. We are typically done by 4:00 pm at the latest. We DO NOT pay commission. This is a legal w-2 job and we all work as a team. Part time could lead to full time for the right person. Hourly pay rate depends on experience, and is negotiable. A photo portfolio of several different breeds in different styles if available can be sent as well, but not initially required.

Pay:

$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
