Compensation:
$14.50 - $15.50+ hourly
DOE Responsibilities:
Ensure the well-being of all dogs by providing daily care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise. Maintain a clean and safe environment by regularly sanitizing kennels and common areas. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, promptly reporting any concerns to the management team. Assist with the intake and discharge of dogs, ensuring a smooth and welcoming process for both pets and their owners. Collaborate with team members to create and implement enrichment activities that promote the physical and mental health of our canine guests. Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Support the training and development of new team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
Qualifications:
Experience in working with animals, particularly dogs, in a professional setting. Ability to manage and supervise groups of dogs of various sizes and temperaments. Proven track record of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with team members and pet owners. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and getting up and down off the floor. Willingness to work 10-hour shifts with breaks, ensuring consistent care for our canine guests. Experience in administering food and medication to animals is a plus, but not required.
