Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a love for animals and possess the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that enhance their appearance and comfort. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, behaviors, and any special requirements. Provide basic animal care as needed, including monitoring health conditions during grooming sessions. Assist in grooming area duties when necessary, including cleaning and maintaining the grooming area. Availability for 3-4 days a week (including Fridays and Saturdays) Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field is required. Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of various breeds and their specific grooming needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger pets or equipment. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members. A compassionate nature towards animals, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions. Pay Scale 40%-45% commission , based on experience and skill level. Tips are split with bather if a bather is used otherwise all tips go to the groomer.
