Pet Care Attendant

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pet Care Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional care and attention to animals, ensuring their well-being and comfort. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle various pet care responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience within the pet care industry is required. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with animals while contributing to their health and happiness. Duties Feed, water, and administer medications to pets as directed Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques Assist with pet grooming, including bathing and brushing Monitor animals' health and behavior, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff Clean and disinfect kennels, rooms, and common areas regularly Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all animals Engage with pet owners professionally, addressing questions and providing updates on their pets' well-being Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or animals when necessary Skills Experience in dog training and handling techniques is a bonus Knowledge of pet grooming and animal care procedures Excellent customer service abilities to communicate effectively with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required Compassionate attitude toward animals of all sizes and temperaments Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment Attention to detail in caring for animals' health and safety Ability to fulfill prescheduled shifts We have a morning position and an evening position open. Both positions require 1 weekend day every weekend. Holidays are mandatory and rotational.
