Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing high-quality service to our furry clients. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals in our care while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks. Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the management staff. Assist with animal restraint during grooming procedures or helping fellow team members as needed. Support pet owners with customer service inquiries and provide information about services offered. Participate in training sessions for new staff on proper animal handling techniques and proper cleaning procedures. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for both animals and staff. Experience Previous experience in pet care or related fields such as pet grooming, pet sitting, dog training, or veterinary assistance is preferred but not required. Familiarity with animal handling techniques and basic knowledge of animal behavior is beneficial. Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting with pet owners effectively.
