Overview Join our dynamic pet care team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise will shine! In this energetic role, you'll provide professional grooming services that keep dogs looking and feeling their best. Your attention to detail, animal handling skills, and love for pets will contribute to a positive experience for both dogs and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your grooming talents with animal care in a lively, supportive environment. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, brushing, and styling to meet each pet's specific needs and owner preferences Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sterilized and organized Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing pet care or veterinary referrals if necessary Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming procedures, aftercare instructions, and any concerns observed during the grooming process Assist with pet sitting or kennel duties as needed to support overall animal care operations Support team members with additional pet care tasks such as pet sitting or basic veterinary assistance when required Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions Familiarity with veterinary procedures related to animal health and hygiene is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment safely and comfortably Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Experience in animal handling across various species including dogs and horses (equine experience is a bonus) Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background is advantageous A genuine passion for animals combined with excellent attention to detail and professionalism Join us in creating happy, healthy pets while building your career in a lively environment that values your skills!
