Job Summary Join our team as a Pet Groomer, where your passion for animals and exceptional grooming skills will shine! In this role, you will provide top-notch grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring they look and feel their best. Your expertise in animal handling, pet care, and grooming techniques will help create happy, healthy, and well-maintained pets that owners trust and love. This job is paid by commission you'll get out what you put in. Duties Perform grooming services including occasional bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing to meet each pet's specific needs and breed standards Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures Assist with pet handling and restraint techniques to facilitate grooming while minimizing stress for the animals Conduct basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior during grooming sessions Monitor pet health and behavior; communicate any concerns or abnormalities to veterinary staff or pet owners Maintain a clean, organized station by sanitizing tools and equipment regularly and keeping tidy Provide excellent customer service by engaging with pet owners, explaining grooming procedures, upselling products and services, and addressing questions or concerns Being knowledgable of animal behavior, basic anatomy and body language/stress indicators Learning scheduling a software and scheduling appointments Handling money responsibly Strong time management skills. Bring a team player Skills Strong animal handling skills with experience in pet grooming and restraint techniques Experience working with animals such as dogs or cats, in a professional setting (grooming experience is required) Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting) when handling large or heavy pets or equipment Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members Familiarity with kennel procedures, pet sitting/boarding, and general animal care practices Customer service-oriented mindset with a passion for providing compassionate pet care Join us in creating a positive environment where pets are pampered and owners feel confident in our expert care!
