Duties Perform full grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and de-shedding treatments tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Assess each pet's health and behavior, alerting veterinary staff or pet owners to any concerns or abnormalities observed during grooming Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and well-maintained Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming options, aftercare instructions, and pet behavior Assist with pet handling during drop-off and pick-up processes, ensuring a smooth experience for clients and their pets Support team members with animal handling tasks such as kennel cleaning, pet sitting support, or basic animal care when needed Experience Previous dog handling or pet grooming experience is highly preferred; certification in pet grooming is a plus Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience enhances your ability to care for animals effectively Experience working with veterinary technicians or assistants demonstrates strong animal care skills Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet care routines, and kennel operations is advantageous Background in animal handling across various species such as equine or small animals can be beneficial but is not required Strong customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and providing a positive experience Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or large dogs ensures safe handling practices Join us in creating happy, healthy pets through expert grooming combined with compassionate care!
