We are a Family owned and operated salon. We are professionally committed to being a resource for all aspects of pet ownership. As a Pet Groomer / Pet stylist, you make a difference in the lives of pets by providing customers with an upscale experience to improve the look and feel of a pet's physical appearance and well being. This position spends most time in direct contact with our furry visitors and families in a one on one atmosphere. You must excel at communication and observation skills, as well as possess a keen eye for details. Position growth available. Continued education availability (seminars, certification etc) Here is what a day in the life of a Mosa stylist would look like: Provide Full service Grooming services (bathe,dry, anal gland expressions, ears cleaned/plucked, nails filed and style cut) in a timely fashion as again we are one on one with our furry babies. Timing is key (we offer bookings based on size, style, breed and condition of coat.) Use good judgment and alert Owner of any anomalies that a dog may have, make notes of style and anything noticed. Provide guests with an exceptional experience. Provide all pet guests with kindness and respect at all times. Speak authentically about products and services offered. Educate Families in the benefits of our holistic approach to caring for pets. Maintain a clean work area at all times. Maintain a overall clean salon environment. Positively interact with pet parents in-person, via email, text and phone. We provide - 5 in 1 , blades, quarterly sharpening of all equipment. electric tables, easy access tubs k-9 brand and other high end brand dryers, high end products. Laid back and professional atmosphere. We will teach you a lot but what we need you to already have: Must be 18 years or older At least 4+ years of Professional Grooming experience. Certifications/ schooling are a plus, We are happy to help with additional certifications. Passion for dog grooming and the well-being of pets. Ability to complete 4-6 dogs a day. Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business and Clients which will require some weekend shifts. (This position will have the availability to make your own hours within reason.) Time management ,multitasking and reliable. Ability to clean and stock work area.
Physical Demands:
Position requires person to work with a range of pet sizes, temperaments. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs. ( Cats not necessary but a plus) . Proper restraining for different behaviors. Communicate with proper spelling and grammar via email/ text. Communicate with clients in a friendly, upbeat manner. Pay is W2 hourly plus commission or w2 commission plus tips
