Responsibilities Perform professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition Assess each dog's health status, recognizing signs of veterinary concerns or discomfort, and communicate findings to pet owners or veterinary staff as needed Provide exceptional customer service by explaining grooming options, answering questions, and building trust with pet owners Assist with pet handling during drop-off and pick-up processes, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners Support pet care activities such as pet sitting or kennel duties when required, demonstrating versatility in animal handling Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet care routines, and kennel procedures Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles adds valuable insight into animal health considerations Ability to lift heavy objects safely, including dogs or grooming equipment, demonstrating physical stamina Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach toward clients and team members Prior experience with animal handling across different species such as equine or small animals is a plus Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference!
