In this role, you will provide professional grooming services while working in an established boarding and daycare facility with a steady flow of dogs and a supportive, low-stress environment. Our front desk team handles scheduling and payment, allowing you to focus on grooming and pet care. This W-2 commission-based position offers a flexible full-time schedule and the opportunity to build a strong client base from our existing boarding and daycare customers. Duties Perform professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning tailored to each dog's breed and owner preferences Handle dogs safely and calmly to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming tools and grooming area Communicate with front desk staff regarding grooming schedules and client instructions Monitor dogs for skin issues, health concerns, or behavioral concerns and report them to management Provide a positive grooming experience for both pets and their owners Assist with basic bathing or prep work when needed Follow facility safety and animal handling procedures at all times Experience Previous professional pet grooming experience is required Ability to groom a variety of breeds according to breed standards or customer requests Experience handling dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels Strong animal handling and safety skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to lift and handle large dogs safely Good communication and customer service skills Pay & Benefits 50% commission on grooming services 100% of tips W-2 employee position $500 bonus after 60 days Flexible full-time schedule (approximately 4-5 days per week) Facility provides tubs (2), grooming table, dryers, shampoos, and supplies Groomer may use their own tools if preferred Front desk handles scheduling and customer payment Access to existing boarding and daycare clients for grooming services
