Part Time Professional Pet Groomer

Pet Groomer (Part-Time) - Animal Bed & Breakfast | Concord/Harrisburg, NC Job Description Animal Bed & Breakfast is a small business with a family-like culture, seeking a skilled Part-Time Pet Groomer to join our team. In this role, you will provide professional grooming services in our established boarding and daycare facility. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to transition to full-time if interested.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning tailored to each dog's breed and owner preferences Handle dogs safely and calmly to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming Maintain cleanliness and organization of grooming tools and grooming area Communicate with front desk staff regarding grooming schedules and client instructions Monitor dogs for skin issues, health concerns, or behavioral concerns and report them to management Provide a positive grooming experience for both pets and their owners Assist with basic bathing or prep work when needed Follow facility safety and animal handling procedures at all times

Requirements:

Professional grooming certification required Previous professional pet grooming experience (minimum 1-2 years preferred) Ability to groom a variety of breeds according to breed standards or customer requests Experience handling dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels Strong animal handling and safety skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to lift and handle large dogs safely Good communication and customer service skills

Compensation & Perks:

50% commission on grooming services + 100% of tips Guaranteed weekly stipend of $400 per week (prorated based on your agreed part-time schedule) for the first 6 weeks to provide stability while building your book Built-in opportunity to perform our existing boarding baths for additional income , plus warm leads from our active boarding and daycare clients to help you quickly grow your personal grooming book $500 bonus after 60 days W-2 employee position with bi-weekly payroll Flexible part-time schedule (2-4 days/week ideal), with potential for full-time Fully equipped grooming space (2 tubs, tables, dryers, quality shampoos & supplies) Option to use your own tools Apply today and become part of our small business family in the Concord/Harrisburg area.
