Hiring:
Part-Time PetWise Pro (Farm & Pet Care Specialist) Do you feel at home in muck-boots? Are you calm around large animals and confident in following routines that actually matter ? If not, no hard feelings — farm work has a way of sorting folks out. ;) About the Role PetWise Professionals is a professional, insured, standards-driven pet care company. Our Farm Care Specialists provide thoughtful and reliable care for farm animals and equines , while also supporting standard pet care services such as dog walking and pet sitting. This role requires daily adherence to PetWise SOPs and client-specific care instructions. You will be expected to follow routines exactly as written, communicate clearly, and document care accurately. This is not casual work. Key Job Responsibilities Standard Care Services (Required): Dog walking Pet sitting and vacation care In-home visits for cats and small animals Clear communication with clients and management Following written care instructions and company SOPs each visit Farm & Equine Care (Primary Focus): Feeding and watering livestock and horses per written instructions Stall mucking, turnout, and routine barn chores Grooming, blanketing, and basic handling (as applicable) Observing animals for signs of injury, illness, or distress Maintaining safe, clean farm environments Reporting concerns promptly and accurately Respecting animal boundaries, routines, and owner preferences We take our work seriously - Farm and equine care roles require comfort (without overconfidence), real-world awareness, and a strong respect for safety protocols. REQUIRED
Outdoor work in all weather conditions Early mornings and evenings are common Some weeks are light, others are full — consistency grows with reliability If you're seeking guaranteed hours or a fixed schedule, this role will not be a good fit — and that's okay. Role Requirements Hands-on experience with farm animals and/or horses (professional or substantial personal experience) Comfort working independently, following structured routines Physical ability (lifting, bending, walking, stall/barn work) Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance Smartphone proficiency Strong attention to detail and follow-through Clear communication and professionalism Exceptional punctuality and reliability Candidates for farm and equine care roles should expect a more in-depth interview process, which may include a secondary interview and an in-person farm or equine assessment to confirm comfort, awareness, and safety instincts.
