In this role, you will provide energetic dog walking services, personalized pet care, and companionship tailored to the unique needs of clients. Your dedication will foster joyful outdoor experiences for dogs while offering our clients peace of mind knowing their pets are in caring hands. For transparency, it is best if you live near the North Hills area of Raleigh NC - you may only do 2 visits, which is 1 hour in the morning at 8am and come back later in the afternoon at 2pm for another 2 visits - I just wanted to be clear about the part-time/contractor opportunity. We do walks all day from 7am-9pm. Requirements Extremely reliable, punctual and detail oriented. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation preferred for client visits and walks, a smartphone and can pass a background check . Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor when working with clients, seniors and their pets. Patient, respectful and comfortable interacting with people and seniors, including those with mobility or memory challenges. Strong background in animal handling across different species and sizes of dogs and cats. Proven experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles (pet sitting, shelter, daycare, vet clinic, or long-term pet ownership.) Responsibilities Take dogs on engaging walks, ensuring safe handling and proper restraint techniques to promote healthy exercise and mental stimulation Provide attentive pet care including feeding, administering medication if needed, and basic training to support pet well-being Monitor animal behavior during walks and care visits, recognizing signs of distress or illness and reporting concerns promptly Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing kennel cleaning, animal restraint. Offer companionship to pets through play, socialization, and gentle handling to enhance their emotional health Document pet care activities accurately and communicate effectively with clients about their pets' needs and behaviors through our pet care app. Part-time, flexible shifts ranging from 7am-9pm Monday-Sunday. Work is clustered within communities to minimize driving.
