This is a great opportunity for a high school student or someone looking for a part-time afternoon job in a fun, fast-paced pet care environment. This role is perfect for someone who is confident, outgoing, hardworking, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves. While you will help bathe and care for dogs, this position also includes a lot of cleaning, sanitizing, and salon reset responsibilities. A big part of this role is helping keep our salon clean, safe, sanitary, and ready for the next day. Schedule This is a part-time afternoon position , working a couple of days per week.
Availability needed:
Monday through Saturday afternoons. Saturday availability required. Exact days and hours may vary based on salon needs and appointment volume. Responsibilities Dog Bathing & Pet Care Bathe dogs safely and thoroughly using salon-approved shampoos and products Help dry dogs after bathing using towels and professional dryers Brush dogs as needed before or after bathing Assist groomers with moving dogs safely in and out of tubs, kennels, and grooming areas Handle dogs with patience, confidence, and care Follow all salon safety procedures when working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments Salon Cleaning & Reset A major part of this role is helping clean and reset the salon throughout the day and for closing.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning and sanitizing bathing tubs Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and holding areas Vacuuming floors throughout the salon Mopping floors as needed Wiping down walls, counters, doors, and high-touch surfaces Cleaning up hair, water, and debris from bathing and grooming areas Taking out trash Restocking towels, shampoos, cleaning supplies, and other salon materials Doing laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away towels Cleaning brushes, tools, and bathing equipment as directed Helping reset the salon so it is clean, organized, and ready for the next business day Team Support Help groomers and bathers as needed during busy times Follow instructions from managers, groomers, and senior team members Communicate clearly and respectfully with the team Stay productive during slower periods by cleaning, organizing, and helping where needed Maintain a positive attitude in a busy, active work environment Qualifications Must love dogs and be comfortable working around dogs of all sizes No professional grooming experience required — we are willing to train the right person Must be dependable, responsible, and willing to work hard Must be confident, outgoing, and comfortable asking questions Must be able to follow directions and complete tasks without constant reminders Must be willing to clean — this is a big part of the job Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift, bend, squat, and move around throughout the shift Must be comfortable getting wet, hairy, and dirty Must work well with a team Must be kind, patient, and respectful with animals and people Ideal Candidate The right person for this role is someone who: Has a great attitude Takes initiative Notices when something needs to be done Is not afraid of hard work Enjoys being around dogs Can stay calm and confident in a busy environment Is mature, dependable, and eager to learn Wants to be part of a positive team Why Join Woofinwaggle?
