Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their well-being while maintaining cleanliness and organization. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed. Communicate effectively with team members regarding animals' needs and behaviors. Support training initiatives by reinforcing basic commands and behaviors with dogs. Collaborate with team members to ensure high standards of animal care are met. Experience Previous experience in animal care or pet care is preferred but not required. We can train the right candidate. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques is beneficial. Customer service experience is a plus, as interaction with community members is essential. Knowledge of pet grooming practices or veterinary technician skills is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment.
