In this paid role, you'll provide exceptional care by walking, feeding, and supervising pets, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Responsibilities Safely walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, following specific care instructions Provide pet sitting services including feeding, administering medication, and cleaning up after pets Monitor pet behavior during walks or sitting sessions to ensure safety and comfort Restrain animals appropriately using animal handling techniques to prevent injury or escape Maintain detailed logs of pet activities, behaviors, and any concerns during visits Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' well-being and any notable observations Assist with basic pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing when needed Handle pet care equipment responsibly, including leashes, harnesses, and grooming tools Client communication Qualifications Prior experience in dog training, animal handling, or pet sitting preferred Veterinary experience such as veterinary technician or assistant background is a plus Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and basic grooming skills. Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting) when handling supplies or assisting larger animals Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Familiarity with kennel operations or veterinary clinics is advantageous Excellent communication skills to update owners on their pets' status confidently This role offers an engaging environment where your dedication to animal care is valued and rewarded.
