Velvet Leash Co. is a private, members-only pet care company serving a small number of households in Winston-Salem and surrounding areas. We provide elevated, in-home care for clients who value consistency, discretion, and thoughtful attention to detail. We are currently expanding and seeking a small number of individuals who are grounded, dependable, and comfortable taking responsibility for both pets and the homes they live in. Who This Is For This role is best suited for individuals who: Have a calm, steady presence and good judgment Are comfortable working independently without supervision Take responsibility seriously and follow through on commitments Prefer structured, intentional work over fast-paced or high-volume environments Many of our strongest team members come from backgrounds such as retired professionals, veterans, or individuals with experience in healthcare, caregiving, or other responsibility-driven roles. What You'll Be Doing Providing in-home pet care ranging from structured visits to overnight and 24-hour stays Maintaining a clean, respectful presence in clients' homes Following detailed care instructions for each household Communicating thoughtful updates, photos, and videos Representing Velvet Leash Co. with professionalism and discretion What This Is Not This is not app-based or gig-style pet sitting. We operate on a relationship-based model and are intentional about who we bring onto our team. This role requires consistency, trustworthiness, and a genuine respect for both the home and the animals in our care. Requirements Must be 21+ Reliable transportation Comfortable with overnight and 24-hour care assignments Strong communication and attention to detail Ability to work independently and problem-solve calmly Demonstrates reliability and integrity in unsupervised environments Compensation This is a 1099 independent contractor role.
